15.00 | M & L for preparation of black top bituminious runways/links surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc, sweeping with brooms/ mechanical means to remove all loose dust,dirt etc and taking out with compressed air and making the surface free from dust etc, drying the surface and applying uniformly two coats of cold Polymer Modified Emulsion (PME) by using self-propelled emulsion distribution assembly or towed emulsion pressure sprayer, equipped for spraying the PME uniformly & mopping the surfaces ,total undiluted PME @ minimum 1.00 litre per sqm in two coats in the ratio 1:1 (PME : Water) and ensure uniform finish of PME on runways/links etc complete all as per manufactures instruction and all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Note :- Following provisions are considered to be inclusive in the quotated rate. (i) Due care shall be taken for friction parameters during application of PME as per ICAO standard and on completion of work contractor shall submit friction testing report from approved Lab/Agency for any No's of points/locations as directed by GE. (ii) The work shall be carried out through authorised & registered applicater of the manufacturerer. (iii) Special care shall be taken to fill gaps/cracks up to 3mm size with miniral filler as per manufacturer’s instructions and quoted rate is included for repair of gaps/cracks. (iv) A preformance guarantee certificate for two year shall be submitted by the contractor to the completion of the works as specified. (v) No price adjustment shall be applicable if excess/wastage quantity of polymer modified emulsion(PME) than that mentioned above is used depending upon condition of the surface to be treated. (vi) Minus price adjustment as per pro-rata of quoted rate for min 1.0 litre/Sqm in two coats shall be made if less quantity of PME as per manufacturer's instructions and subsequently approved by GE is used in work. (vi) PME must have penetration value of 10-20 mm and initial setting time four to five hours but not more than eight hours. (vii) Three trial patch of size 15m x 15m of approved manufacturer. (viii) On approval of trial patch the contractor shall immediately procure the total qty of material required and also submit PVs and test reports before commencement of work. (ix) The commemcement and completion of work shall be the period as per Users directives and the contractor shall adhere strictly to the time lines directed by User's and complete the work satisfactorily in all respects within the specified period.
