1.03Daily Collecting and processing solid waste Garbage separately in Dry waste, Wet waste Garbage and biological waste from each quarters, covering the entire NMPA staff colony, CISF colony, Barrack and RCHW Colony including markets and transporting the collected House hold garbage by Five tri-cycles to the designated area of the solid waste collection platform near the compost pit. Later the dumped solid waste materials through the tricycles at the compost pit site shall be separated into non-Bio-degradable and Decomposable garbage. The non-Bio degradable garbage shall be stacked at designated platform and degradable garbage shall be spread in the compost pits. The rates shall include cost and conveyance of all materials, labour, T&P, all leads and lifts, minor repairs to the tricycles compressor oil etc complete as directed by the dept. 1.04Processing of solid waste by manuring of collected garbage’s including Operation of shredder, Collecting and shifting the powdered waste from shredder to vermi bins, Preparing a cow dung slurry and sprinkle it on the heap for quick decomposition, laying a layer (2 – 3 inch) of soil or sand at the bottom of the tank, preparing fine bedding by adding partially decomposed cow dung, dried leaves and other biodegradable wastes collected from fields and kitchen, Distribute them evenly on the sand layer, Continue adding both the chopped bio-waste and partially decomposed cow dung layer-wise into the tank up to a depth of 0.5-1.0 ft. After adding all the bio-wastes, release the earthworm species over the mixture and cover the compost mixture with dry straw or gunny bags. Sprinkling water on a regular basis to maintain the moisture content of the compost. collecting the manure from vermi pit by screening, relaying the earthworm into the pit without doing any harm. and maintain the bin clean and neat so that to prevent the entry of ants, lizards, mouse, snakes, etc. and protect the compost from rainwater and direct sunshine with good packing. Have a frequent check to avoid the compost from overheating.
